Signs of "too much time spent with NAV"

1) When you are waiting in cash desk queue which move very slowly, you are thinking about some SQL indexes optimalization.

2) If you are ordering some goods over phone, you imagine how they are entering the order into NAV and you will like to know your Customer No..

3) If you are near someone entering orders or receiving payments, you are checking the display if it is NAV or something else...

4) If you go into the hotel reception and you are dreaming about situation, when the youg receptionist will say "sorry, I have some problem with my NAV" and you will answer "ok, I can help you, just tell me what is your problem. I have my NAV license with me and I can correct the problem...".

5) If you ordered some goods and they are late, you are thinking "they are using NAV and the salesman has set some filter excluding my order".

6) If somebody will tell you that he has problems with finding your order and that he must do that and that exactly in this and this way, you imagine that they are using SAP.

If you go to Denmark this can very well happen. Actually Eric (Waldo) and I were staying in a hotel in Copenhagen last year where they used Navision. Unfortunately nothing broke.

9.) If you start NAV and write one line C/AL code to calculate the number of days between two dates.

(I've done this a few days ago.)

Yeah I keep hitting Esc all the time. When I'm in other apps though it only takes me a few times to catch up, but what still gets me is that F1 help won't close by Esc anymore.

Sadly I used to do that so often, that I eventually wrote macros in Excel that actually did emulate the F3/F4 to insert and delete Rows.

I just spent 2-3 minutes very frustrated that I couldn't delete some files off of my hard drive. I kept having to go to File -> Delete because it didn't seem to recognize my keyboard input. I was hitting F4 instead of the Delete button.

It happens with the Escape button a lot too, I'll be doing something totally unrelated to Navision and I tap the Esc button waiting for it to close the application window.

    I think it's time for a vacation :D

A customer emails you a screenshot of a NAV error message and you try clicking the OK button to close it.
There are no bugs - only undocumented features.
