Hi,

I got this error when looked up for select user in Windows Logins screen.

'A call to the Active Directory Service Interface failed.... Please contact administrator.'

I already checked the support site.

He said
In Microsoft Windows Explorer, double-click the Schemaxt.exe file in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision\Database Server

but I can't find that exe. :?

What should I do now ... ?

PS. My client is in the same domain as server.

    Hi,

I think we need to know first what version of NAV do you use.
Depending on the NAV version different issues and solutions are available.
One reason that you can not find the *.exe is probably because it was intended for another NAV version.
The KB document is dealing with NAV 4.0 and NAV 5.0 .

Is this the version that you use ?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

In this case it I would suspect that something is not right on that PC.
Did you try to Synchronize All Logins ?
Tools -> Security -> Synchronize All Logins.
Do you get an error message ?
Is this the only PC or do you experience the same issues on other machines?
Also it may be worth double checking do you have enough permissions to access Active directory.
Are there any error messages in the EventViewer ?

    Thanks.

    I found the problem.

It's about the permission of user which I login to the domain.
At the first time I used admin user of computer not the admin of domain, after changed to admin of domain I can select user from AD.
