Customized ribbon in NAV 2013

Hi masters of Mibuso

As the Icelandic localized version of NAV 2013 only landed here a couple of month ago I just started to run my own company a few days ago. Part of this is to select a role that best fits my usage and then customize it as a user. The thing that bothers me is that I can't find a way to change the action images in the customized ribbon. Is there a way to do this ?

For what I know the image is inherited from the source where you got it from.

I just right-clicked an item in the Departments menu and "Add to Actions on Role Center Ribbon".
Can't see any properties in the page to add an image and can't see any option in the customization to add an image there. I must be missing something - this is not in line with my "beauty" standard.

The images are hardcoded in the binaries.

But how to select from the available images is the question.

Good to know that I am not missing anything. Next step is to suggest to Microsoft that the user can also customize the images on the ribbon...

I'm not really sure if that's a good thing. What if someone calls the helpdesk and claims to push the printer icon and someone used that for posting?

I believe you can update at least some icons in the ribbon (NAV2013) - there is an image property for Actions. The source is the Activity Button Icon Library (search Developed and IT Pro Help).

I'm not sure if I might have missed something here but you CAN changes action images. On the Actions there is a property called 'Image' and you can change that. If you do a lookup you have hundreds of options.

In personalization this is not possible. I have suggested a solution for this to Microsoft.
