Nav 2009 Installation on named instance of sql server

Hi
I have sql server 2008 installed on my m/c with named instance MSSQLSERVER1.
When I tried to install Nav 2009 its getting installed using default instance MSSQLSERVER.
I could see that sql server 2005 components is getting installed and nav is using it.
I even tried to change the configuration during installation then also no change.
Could anyone please help me out in installing nav 2009 using my named instance MSSQLSERVER1.

If you have your Service Tiers installed on the SQL server, you can use named instances (at least it works, but I think it's not officially supported). If you want to separate the Service Tiers from the SQL server it does not work.
If you are not using the root setup chainer, and instead are using the invidual MSI it will be possible.
Both Microsoft_Dynamics_NAV_SQL_Database.msi and Microsoft_Dynamics_NAV_SQL_DemoDatabase.msi is support the "INSTANCENAME" property. This is not official supported by Microsoft.
Another option would be to register the xp_ndo.dll manually (http://blog.wibeck.org/2009/05/installing-store-procedures-for-dynamics-nav-2009-manually/) in your sql server and attache the database manually (a version of this http://blog.wibeck.org/2009/08/how-to-install-more-than-one-dynamics-nav-2009-demo-database-alternative-2/ should work). This is not official supported by Microsoft.
But I would first recommend to use NAV 2009 SP1 instead.
