Two of our clients ran into the ActiveX warning messages
after installation of Navision 4.0. That ActiveX warning
message appears every time a user opens Navision Help on
a computer. We found that Update 1 for Microsoft Business
Solutions - Navision 4.0 was supposed to fix this
problem. However, after we installed the Update 1, user
still gets the ActiveX message. Has anyone have any ideas
on how to fix this problem?

On the managed partner newsgroup, you received the following answer to your post yesterday:
This is an ongoing (and known) problem since XP SP2 was released. The
warnings stem from the security settings from Internet Explorer.

The only workaround available at this time is to actually disable the
Company Notes feature by stopping the .dll:

    ---> regsvr32 /u compnoteshtml.dll

However, this is just a work around and not a complete fix. The complete
fix is supposed to be released in Service Pack 1 for version 4.0. This
Service Pack is scheduled for later in the summer of 2005.
    Is this not satisfactory?

    Associated random notes:
    • Don't confuse Update 1 for v4.0 (already available) with SP1 for 4.0 (due later this summer). They are not the same thing.
    • Somewhere in earlier versions, I vaguely remember seeing an tool named 'MarkCompanyNotesSafeForScripting.exe'... Maybe you can look this up -- maybe somebody here knows if it still works in v4.0
