The 4.00 Fixed Files !

The release of 4.00 contained a bunch of errors in the exes and dlls. There is allready a fix it, but not official yet. You can download it at:

What you should do to create a new Navision 4.00 CD:
1) Copy CD1 on your hard drive
2) Overwrite the files with the files in this archive
3) Rewrite the CD

I hope MS will create a new release soon!

    I can get on my site from all places I know ... plus ... the files have been downloaded about 20 times ... so I guess everything is working on my side ...

    Waldo,

    Could it be that your provider didn't publish his dns server in the right way. From the Netherlands you can only reach your site if I ad his dns server (dns.secondary.org, IP 68.46.140.152) directly to my network settings. Maybe it is only published in Belgium ?

    there's your answer ...

    The DNS question ... I wouldn't know. A friend is hosting this server (linux). I'll ask him when I get the chance ... .

    I attempted to apply these new files to correct the problem and I get a message back that the database and server versions do not match.

    I had same problem cause I forgot to replace some files.
    You should verify to have the same version on server files:
      dbm.dll HotCopy.exe Nc_netb.dll nc_tcp.dll nc_tcps.dll SERVER.exe SLAVE.exe STOPSRV.exe

    and on client files:
      dbm.dll fin.exe finsql.exe nc_netb.dll nc_tcp.dll nc_tcps-dll SLAVE.exe
