Fob plugin for Beyond Compare
We use "Beyond Compare" to compare NAV object txt files or to merge changes in objects for upgrades. We added a plugin to view fob or txt object files. You can also compare fob files. Please view the provided video to see exactly what this free plugin does.

The video was created to show you all the options. Didn't add sound because of my dutch accent and the video file was 4 times larger. If you have Beyond Compare it will take 1 minute to install and 10 seconds to uninstall.

Hello sir,

I tried using your FOB plugin with Beyond compare version 2.5 (build 250) but I am not able to compare 2 FOB files, I am able to compare text files but not FOB. I am able to see the list of objects in the Beyond compare but not able to compare.

The Video also shows the functionality of splitting the objects into files but this FOB plug in doesnt have the functionality given in the Video

Please update me if there is any other plugin I need to Import.

This plugin shows you the objects in a fob without using NAV. You can compare 2 fob files by viewing the objects. The changes are shown in a different color. It can not show you the code in the objects. This is protected.

The "split text files" option is only included in the full plugin and is still provided free of charge ... but with a small catch. We released three global solutions and think they are interesting for a lot of NAV customers and ask you to read the pages on our website.

On one of these pages there is a link to download the full plugin (develop). Repeat the installation step 3 with the Splitnav.xml.

It is possible that the vbscript file needs to be modified the recognize your country specific keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks for the information. This proved to be very useful, $30 is not too bad either for the beyond compare software.

Yes, BC rocks. Most people don't know you can use it to compare folders too.

Hi there!

Is it possible to upgrade your plugin so it can be used in Beyond Compare 3? I'm using BC3 but BC2-Plugins don't work in BC3. Perhaps only small changes are to be made?
