I have to do a technical upgrade of a DB from 3.10 to 5.00.
And I have a table in the range 39.000.000-range in which my developer-license has Execute-permission but NOT modify-permission.
If I convert that DB from 3.10 to 4.00SP3, I don't have a problem.
If I convert that DB (in a 3.10 or 4.00SP3-client) to 5.00, Navision 5.00 gives an error that I don't have permission the change the table.
I have the error both native as SQL.
Someone knows about this problem and how to fix it (apart from upgrading the license with the add-on)?
Regards,Alain Krikilion

The reason you are getting the error is because 5.0 sets the Cluster key on all the tables, this marks the tables as modified. which is causing the error.

There is no workaround, except getting a license that gives you modified permission, or call MS for a hotfix.

My choice: wait on hotfix or do a Navision backup in v4, go to Nav 5, create new database, then restore Navision backup.
Navision restore completed successfully - still waiting on hotfix!

So let's hope for the hotfix.

Try this way :
Dynamics User Group - Upgrade 4xx EXE to 5.00 with End User license
The Lanham tables cause problem with doing upgrades with a developers license.
