Please Help.

You must set it scheduling direction to be back in the option tab when you do a refresh production order and empty the quantity field in the prod. order line before refresh.

If it can't work, it means you must check routing assigned to the family and qty field in the family window. Also, you must repeat to refresh until 2 times by delete date 1/10/2006 and rewrite 30/09/2006. I also confuse why in my 4.sp2 face the same problem like you but if I repeat I success.

No I do not want to refresh the same order again and again as I refresh Prod. Order programmatically.

I have not assigned any routing to the Family.

I have also noticed one thing the this happends only if Source Type is family. If source type is Item then this problem doesn't happen.

I also want to know if routing is not specified then how the Starting Date and Ending Date are calculated for the Production Order lines.

Please please please help.

It will use system calculation to create/calculate due date. The calculation is usually forward, I think that's why when you refresh, the due date change. No, the family or item can work well as I have tried it, although I use routing.

using lead time calculation field in the item cards.
Use it if you have no routing and then system will calculate correct.

True. I found that if routing is absent then Ending Date on Production Order line = Starting Date on Prod. Order Line+ Lead Time on Item card.

But what about the starting time on the Production ORder line when routing is absent.

Thanks for any help.

It is :
due date - lead time calculation = starting date

it is also influenced by calendar setting, sunday and saturday are not included. due date also influence by safety lead time field in the manufacturing setup. :)

Johnson, thanks for your great help.

But still one doubt is there and it is why when I refresh my prod. order, Due date on the Produ. Order gets increased by 1?? and hence the dates on the Production Order lines get changed.

In manufacturing setup Default Safty lead time =1D
And I am not using routing. Also I have not setup any lead time on the Item card.

Thanks for any help.

It will use default safety lead time that you have set up before.
System consider that the production schedule is out of its calculation.
So starting time and ending time will as same as the default.
If you not set the default, it will calculate back or forward depend on your choice in the option tab.
Anyway, for other question in mfg, for complete and relate to application you can mail me directly to johns_alonso@yahoo.com. :)

Johnson
