Hi,
I am looking for a Tips to disable copy from customer, vendor and item list.
This data are very confident and I don't want to allow users to copy in excel file.

I try to create a Menu with Ctrl+C but windows functions are still active.

Your idea are welcome.

Thanks.

As far as I know, if you want to disable copying, you can add some approval system in the dataport if you use it and can be copied if use password or user. Also, license could be possbily considered.

I am afraid it is not possible. At least I don't know any way to avoid it.

I think there is a property, on the form, I don't have a database here at home, it is either at form or textbox level.

I know there is a property PasteIsAllowed, and sure theere is a way to prevent copy!

If you cannot find a way, all you can do is to limit the Information, on a user Level, creating list forms with minimal Information.

you can leave this to the network security dept. - they can prevent usage of any external memory devices so the information will be controlled. The problem is if this company hasn't strict security model and expect you and Navision to fill this gap...

I haven't found a way to stop Navision forms from being copied directly but you can install external applications that will allow you to disable the windows clipboard function, but it is an all or nothing type of thing. so they would not be able to use the clip board for other things either.

This is one example of a program

My suggestion is that the correct approach towards security should be that if a user has access to data, he CAN steal it, no matter what to you do, so you should first and foremost limit data acces. For example, put a filter - through FILTERGROUP - to Customer List that the user can see only his customers etc.

1. On form make copy of Table Box
2. Property "Visible" of Table Box 2 = No
3. Put Table Box 2 on Table Box 1.
