Hi All,

We are going for a hardware overhaul and I require some suggestions before I go ahead, I need to understand the following. Any help on the below would be of great help.

Current Scenario:
1. NAV 5.0 W1 Implemented with SQL Server as the backend.
2. Current DB size is 124 GB
3. No. Of Companies - 5
4. Total No. Of Users - 15
6. HW - IBM X3650, 16GB RAM, 600 GB HDD with RAID 1

Please can anyone suggest how should I size my servers.

The general rule for ERP hardware is: "The bigger - the better!"

The current system looks as if it fulfills your current needs. There is an official MS doc which describes the minimal system req's for certain NAV scenarios - more a general rule of thumb. To be sure you have to consider the future evolvement of the system - number (and size) of databases, companies, concurrent users and most importantly transactions... Ask you NAV partner and HW system integrator for additional advice.

In addition to this, how are your data stored? How many hard disk? How do you plan to put the data? Transaction log?
