As an end user of ConnectIT I can recommend this to everyone who needs to import or export data into Dynamics Nav. I use it to import orders directly from the internet into Nav, without human interference. Our Intranet is automatically updated and our employers directly use en process the orders. Very good and efficient.

I also just used ConnectIT to assist us in a company takeover. We imported all the data from Company A into Dynamics only using ConnectIT. It was a big time saver for us and I cannot image what our employees would have thought about manually typing 250 new clients, 500 new contact, 500 new contracts and so on.

So my conclusion as an end user is very simple. If you are looking for ways to communicate with Dynamics, use ConnectIT. It's simple, easy to use and a very nice tool to give you some flexibility.

Export data from Dynamics NAV

For export interfaces (data from Dynamics NAV to another application) the data monitoring function can be activated. As soon as something changes in NAV, a new export is automatically created in the background. Real-time and without any user interference.

Import data into Dynamics NAV

Provisions have been made for import interfaces regarding validation, error handling and track and trace. Log files can be automatically stored after processing the data.
There are several possibilities to easily increase the level of automation. This results in even more efficiency. For example: You can automatically start a workflow the moment data is pulled into Dynamics NAV. ConnectIT does all the work, not the user.

Systems integration

For more advanced systems integration, interfaces can be planned with tasks. These tasks can be carried out by ConnectIT or you can use the standard options in the NAS (Navision Application Server). To optimize your NAS, you can use IDYN's NAS Manager.
Files can be transported through FTP, secure FTP, shared folders, HTTP and MSMQ.
The integration can be set up from one Dynamics NAV company for all companies.

More possibilities

ConnectIT offers even more ease of use. Export data to Excel, adjust it there, and import it back into NAV. It is possible to copy a defined export very easily to a similar import (or vice versa). Adjusting data in Excel is made very simple using ConnectIT.
