tBrowser v1.0
For someone who starts a deeper look into the Navision datamodel, it is very "hard to see the trees in the forest".
What I mean it is hard to become a fast navision datamodel overview.

Last week ago one of my collegues (he's a big navision fan like me) had an interesting idea:
"Let's implement a table relation viewer".

Said and done. Here is our V1.0 of tBrowser.

I like this tool. Especially the shown table numbers and the browsing functionality in alliance with the relation keys: great!

Some tables have more than 16 relations. It would be smart if there was a button to rotate the shown tables.

Answer:
Thanks a lot for this feedback! As a little work-around the button (...) -> show all relations is implemented. This button appears on the right bottom corner on the central table if there are more than 16 relations.

At the moment I am implementing an advanced solution to show also the “non-defined” relations such as Sales Header -> Sales Line and so on.

Hi,

How about adding information from which module a table is? Maybe even color-coding table boxes.

You could achieve this by using information from 'Find (Navision) Granule v1.3' ( http://www.mibuso.com/dlinfo.asp?FileID=336 ).

For those that are new to Navision, marking important 'central' tables in the table list would be helpful (like showing them in bold). Maybe importance of a table could be calculated automaticaly based on the number of outgoing relations?

Adding information about the module in table list window could also help.

- new button print & new report 54000: generates a HTML-Version of table rel.
- form 54000: shows non-defined relations (beta version, not yet full activated) - new form 54002: non-defined relations (beta version, not yet full activated)
- new dataports 54000/54001: export/import non-defined relations (beta version, not yet full activated)

Non-defined rel. are these like Sales Header -> Sales Line, G/L Account-> G/L Ledger, ...
The future idea is to define these relations manually in a table allowing tBrowser to show also the relations.
(Version 1.3 follows as soon as possible)

I tried also this great tool and have a few little suggestions:

• Could you add the current language table caption below the table name?
  It would be very nice if you could add the caption everywhere (table, field) in all your places.
• When showing the relations between the tables:
  Could you also show the relation details in the overview?
  e. g.: T5050 F15 <=> T286 F1 is now shown as [Territory Code]
  It would be better when showing it like this: [Territory Code (F15) <- Code (F1)]
  (Possibly let the user choose by selecting via a "Show Details" dropdown list: [None,Simple,Detailed,All] instead of the "Show relations" Boolean)

Now, you can base the browser on my objects which will fill table with all relations with all details. See http://www.mibuso.com/dlinfo.asp?FileID=990. It will be nice to see it in your "graphical" view. It will include the "non-defined" relations too (they are defined, but because they are conditioned, you cannot use the C/AL or Field table for them...).
