HF6 don't use it ->> LOCKS #-o

garakgarak Member Posts: 3,263
Hi,

with HF6 for Nav SP3 an error was released.

With following steps, you can reproduse it on Cronus.

Server: SQL 2005
Client: 4.0.3.25143

1. Create Sales Invoice with neg. Amount
2. Post it and let the error message displayed

3. Make an new Invoice on an other Client Session
4. Post this Invoice

5. Wait and wait and wait and wait ....

reason: Before HF6 the transaction will be rollback and then the message will displayed. With HF6 the message is displayed and the client waits for interaction and will then rollback transactions ](*,) .

You can see this trash, when start the SQL Profiler.

Regards
Do you make it right, it works too!

It is not hotfix 7 :-). This hotfix is not official (yet?).
Anyway, does anyone have an KB article?

We upgraded one customer to Update 6 and after that they told me "hey, the errors and messages are again blocking the transaction!" (they had same issue with 3.70) And I say "What? Again? It is not possible..." and now I see that it is... ](*,)

Call Microsoft, they should be able to help you out.

I've sent them an email asking for a releasedate and copying in a link to this post.

Let's hope it will be there soon...

They will push the kb article to be published asap.

Why was this thread moved to the SQL Forum? If I understand the KB article correctly, it happens on the native server too.

    You're correct! Good remark! =D> =D> =D>

Everyone that used 4.0SP3 Upgrade6 is doing it for SQL. I didn't think about it either.
