Is there anyway I can dynamically set a certain field Editable/Not-editable, depending on a certain value in an other field? This is in a list page.
I can't see that it will work with the style function?

Hi Carsten,

yes, that is true. Setting fields dynamically to read-only defined by data is only allowed on Web Desk Cards at the moment. This is because moving over an read-only field on editable lists would lead to leaving the data-entry-mode (like in permanent read-only-fields).
We recommend to leave the field editable all the time, but throw an error message by table validation trigger or in the Anveo events-codeunit instead. This way, the data cannot be changed and the user remains in data-entry-mode.

We could provide this feature in future versions. If required, please let me know.
Nicole

Hi Carsten,

I discussed this topic with our developer team and they will implement it. I will inform you as soon as it is available.

Kind regards,
Nicole

Hi Nicole,

You say

but I can't see how to do it. I can't find any function in the Style codeunit to change the editable property.

Thanks in advance

You can use "enabled" in the Style codeunit to change the editable property. There is an example for this in the demo environment; Search for "AWMEX_LIST" in the OnAfterGetField()- Trigger.
