Hello,

Thank you for reading and maybe your input.

I have the following situation.

I our organisation we use the webclient as a portal for external customers, and our regular users (employees) use the RTC client.
The authentication of these external users runs through AD, as well as our regular users

So far so good, and no problems.
Now I would like to know howto deny access to the webclient for our regular users.

Can that be done?

    Hi,

why don't you split this up into 2 different instances. One for web client and one for RTC. RTC can run in Windows authentication and the "external" web client could run with NavUserPassword with signin page or via Azure AD.

Is there another downside then to recreate all the exernal users?

Well you don't recreate external users in NAV, you just add a password or an Office365 login address to these users. In that case you cloud also delete the Windows user account and exclude them from your AD (better for security reasons).
