MaxIteration in checks not working

I am working with a highly modified check report in NAV2013R2. (I think it started life in NAV2009 and the report was upgraded.)
The MaxIteration property does not work - it processes all the rows for the PrintSettledLoop dataitem instead of stopping at 10.
Any ideas on what would break this?
