The new arquitecture of 3-tier needs install NAV2009 with SQL Server.

What needs Web Services for running?

SQL Server and 3-tier arquitecture only?

I have read that needs RTC, but I don't understand this. RTC is only a client of NAV server.

If I want to access NAV data and validations from another application (web app, MS Excel, MS Project, ...) using Web Services, I don't see why I need RTC...

You do not need to use RTC... you need only to install the service tier...

Thanks a lot for your explanation. I See it now more clearly. In addition, I have read more on the subject.

I have read your blog and installed NAV 2009 Management application to start/stop NAV Server o Web Services.

Great job in your blog !
