Did you select the "Demo" option for install? In this way the Cronus sample company is always created.
Otherwise it's possible to create a new one using cmdlets.

I have also come across this error, my admin user account (the account that was used to install the NAV 2013 instance) has no problem accessing the Cronus sample database, but when I created users for F/A here so that they could test the new interface, each user receives the same "There is no company in the database" error.

I've had the same problem once filling the company in the user permission sets: does it apply to you, also?
