Hi all,

I am trying to do the technical upgrade of the client database which is in version 4.0 SP3.I want to do a technical upgrade to 5.0. So I am trying to opent he client databse usign finsql5.0. When I open, it is aksing me to do technical upgrade, I have given yes. Before this , I have imported development license for doing technical upgrade. When I try to do the upgrade, I am getting the error as follows.

"You do not have permission to modify the TempBlob table".

But when I try to do the technical upgrade with the same license in my local for a different database, it is working fine.

If anyone knows the solution for this above error, kindly let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
chandru.

Hi chandru,

What a coincidence that I have the same problem today too!

I have solved it by "Change" the license key to a Developer key BEFORE connecting to the 4.0SP3 database. (no matter what license key is in your client now). Then, the tempblob problem is solved and has successfully converted into 5.0 (in my case).

Cheers :) ,
Rocopsa
