A lot of MBS Parners and developers usually work with a lot of databases, created by different Navision versions. One database are used for demonstration, second for testing, third for internal needs etc etc. Each database need to be run by Navision Client of special version. In other case we will get either the message "You must upgrade MBS Navision"
or the question "Database must be converted..."
In case when we having much databases we got a problem to remember which version of Navision - 3.70, 4.0 or 4.0 SP2 we need to run for one or another database. Of course we could create a lot of shortcuts on our desktop, but it is dreary occupation. And do you want after all look at your desktop as
at trash bin? :)
What does Navision Starter do? Navision Starter is utility that automatically detects the database version and starts proper Navision Client.
Interface is very simple - we must determine Database server, Database name, authentication type (in case when you're using SQL) or select Database FDB-file and press "Ok" button. After, proper version of Navision Client will be automatically started.
