Exact Cost Reversing Problems (Navision)

Having problems running the Adjust Cost batch job in Attain 3.10..3.70 when "Exact Cost Reversing" in switched on?

One of our clients is running Attain 3.60 with Hotfix 19 (I was told this hotfix sorts out all costing problems).

I had endless nightmares with endless loops in the Adjust Cost batch job until I came across this document. (Attached as a MS Word document).

I found this discussion on the old Partnerguide.com site a while ago and since then I wrote the report to identify the corrupted data.

The report runs through all relevant data mentioned in the document and hightlights the entries (In Table 5802 - Value Entry) which you need to correct.

Most of the corrupted data results from "Transfer" entries that are not correctly inserted with a checkmark in the "Valued by Average Cost". Simply place a filter on the first data Item using the "Item No." field, and the Report will tell you which entries you need to fix - this will NOT sort out ALL problems with erroneous data inserted into the Value Entry table by Navision, but it will at least save you the headache of doing it yourself.
